The 3D Creaform scanner is a hand-held scanner and can be used mobile, on side. The component to be measured stay loosely on the table. The color in the background (large display) shows which areas have been scanned and in which quality.

When scanning, the component can be scanned on the screen or via a visual view. It also allows the scan parameters to be monitored (scan distance, scan angle on the surface, pockets or complex detailed analyzes).

Laser lines are clearly visible on the component when scanning. These Laser lines are used for data acquisition. The visible glued-on reference points allow the component to be rotated and turned during the measurement.

Our device is light and scans / records the surfaces / edges with an accuracy of 0.035mm

The data model is then saved as an STL file and can be used for further processing / testing and measurement.

Our test reports show the target / actual situation of the customer model (if possible STP or IGES data) based on the initial situation that the tool side is used as a basis. The evaluation is carried out in the volume model via a color scale; dimensions and position tolerances can of course be evaluated.

The results (dimensional deviations) can be displayed in color as a body comparison to the customer’s 3D data model.

Sections can also be compared with the customer’s 3D data model. The perfect customer model and the thermoformed part which is only accurate on the tool side are clearly visible.
